At NEI, we are committed to helping people become better global communicators. We believe language is a vehicle for cross-cultural dialogue. Tackling the world’s problems takes people working together to find solutions.

We oppose war, disinformation, and conspiracy theories. We want to encourage critical thinking  and support non-violent conflict resolution.

In this spirit, NEI offers a "Global Citizen Scholarship" for those who are currently taking action in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. With the aim of helping people acquire the ability to connect with and communicate with the world in English as global citizens, this course includes "practice discussions in English with people who have different opinions" and "practice giving media interviews in English.”

You are eligible to apply for this scholarship if you meet one of the following:

• Anyone living in Ukraine or who has fled Ukraine since February 24 who is helping to defend freedom or support the victims of the war. Apply HERE
• Anyone living in Russia who is actively promoting peaceful solutions and global dialogue. Apply HERE
• Anyone living in Japan who is actively working to end the war on Ukraine. Apply HERE
  

  If you are selected, you will receive a code to register for your NEI subscription free. You may continue to participate free for 3 months. Please update us at least once monthly about your actions to try to end the war.
