The Country Manager will be the first NEI Japan KK hire and will be able to shape NEI’s brand in Japan, leading all aspects of operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Sales & Marketing Leadership
Account management: relationships with all b2b accounts in Japan
Communications with Plan Managers (usually HR Training & Development Director), explaining NEI’s policies, encouraging utilization of Dashboard for employee engagement.
Manage renewal cycles for in-account expansion.
Invoicing & collections
Reseller Relationships
Oversee product and process familiarization with resellers.
Refine reseller agreements and structure incentives for resellers to actively promote NEI
Streamline reseller processes
Channel Management
Ensure that each lead/account will be handled by only 1 reseller or internal account manager.
Lead Gen
Experiment with various strategies to reach HR Managers in key industries (initially, pharmaceuticals and IT)—paid SEO, phone prospecting, targeted PR
Manage referrals from K4J members (via Referral/Affiliates page)
Sales Funnel Management & Reporting
Daily notes on sales contacts
Weekly report on sales funnel
Monthly forecast for upcoming month
Recruit & Train Direct Sales Team
Establish infrastructure for direct sales team: prospecting, templates, key selling messages, sales pipeline management
Country Manager should prove these systems through own direct sales until initial targets are met, then hire reps and expand
Customer Experience Improvement
Localize (translate and adapt to Japanese client expectations) Plan Manager guidance and subscriber templated responses, notifications, FAQs.
Assist with Plan Manager support questions
Coordinate guidelines with Education Directors to ensure prompt customer response
Effectively communicate to Learning Team and Technology Team the needs of subscribers and b2b purchasers.
Global Leadership Team Participation
Reports to the CEO (who currently divides time between Japan & U.S.)
Works closely with the Sr. Education Director (Seattle) and Director of Engineering.
Follows established policies and processes (e.g. for use of CRM, G Suite, brand guidelines)
Play a key role in NEI’s product development planning.
